Mass Schedule Change Beginning First Sunday of LentOn Sunday, February 26, 2012, the First Sunday of Lent, the 11:15 Sunday Liturgy will move to 11:00 AM. Also, the Religious Education classes will begin at 9:30 AM, instead of 9:45. Please mark your calendars to make note of the new Mass time, as well as the new start for the Religious Education classes. Implementation of the New Translation of the Roman Missal in the Diocese of ArlingtonOn November 27, 2011, the First Sunday of Advent, the Catholic Church in the United States will begin to use the Third Edition of the Roman Missal. Parishioners are encouraged to learn and prepare by reading resources, attending workshops and praying for our universal Church. The Diocese of Arlington has a special webpage focused specifically on the New Translation of the Roman Missal. Click here for the link to that webpage. Bishop Loverde has allowed Parishes in the Diocese of Arlington to begin using the new Gloria before Advent. With the Sunday Liturgies on October 8–9th, we started with the Gloria at Saint Rita. While we have placed a paper handout with lyrics and square notation on a four-line staff for the Gloria in the pews, we are also providing you with the following link from Youtube for you to use to practice and follow along, when you’re not at Mass.
